misty winds
discomfiting
all my sins
stuffed into tins

muffled wails
stooping sails
all their tales
leak water from pricks of the pins

these crests are procellous
these gulls cause annoyance
this boat's got me wondering
that's all i can do

and if i were to hold back
if i reserve my instincts

amends would be failed

how could you send me spiraling?

the court jest has finished his task
he hears the jingling bells rattling inside
the sinister cackle resonates through the mask
startled he is once the sero sea wraps his mind

but a clever mind won't dictate desires
sometimes the water won't put out the fire
let the pressure build, the pipes are bloody and fluid
it may soon be time to hire a new steward

sutures line his scalp
the jester rubs off his scepter
he winces at the whipping winds
the fool smiles, oh so clever

the valve releases, spewing her sanity
lack of patience paints a withered meadow
elegance negated by her illustrious fall
a face of torment cupped in her hands

when the waves bank on the bow
your mind shakes at your vows
when you think about her now
anger comes pouring out

compassion died at your hand
suffocated in your ruthless grasp
swelling vessels under your command
torment proves you the best at your craft

upwelling continues
the cold, dark bottom revealed
cryptic tides
swell in hopes of demise

violence is fleeting
reluctance is near
anxious shivers
erect every hair

once it all settles
you realize how little you care
